Jai Mata Di - Shri Maa Vaishno Seva Mandal is a Mandal who performs Mata Ki Chowki & Jagran under the guidance of Shri Raj Sehgal Ji with Blessings of Respected Shri Deva Maa Ji & Sh. Ganesh Narang Ji.
Sh. Raj Sehgal was born in Delhi in 1970. He completed his graduation in Commerce and also obtained B.Ed. and M.Com Degrees. He started his carrier as a Teacher in his own Personal Academic Centre.
In December, 1990, he met Shri Thakur Dass Ji who was a Member of Shri Shakti Seva Mandal, Ragunath Mandir, Krishna Nagar, Delhi, known as a non-professional group. The Group used to hold Mata Ki Chowki and Jagran free of cost.
On 04th February 1994, Shakti Seva Mandal organised a Vishal Chowki in Ragunath Mandir, Krishna Nagar, Delhi. Respected Shri Deva Maa Ji was present there. Raj Sehgal met Respected Shri Deva Maa Ji for the first time and was attracted by her personality. She inspired him to form a non professional group with objectives listed below.
To hold systematic Chowki/Jagran at minimum expense by non-professional group.
To inspire the people to know the basics of Vaishno Panth.
To discourage cash offerings in Chowki/Jagran and worship with flowers only .
To demonstrate old time method of Chowki/Jagran in brief .
To hold absolutely free Chowki / Jagran for those who cannot afford any expenses at all which includes every thing starting from Pooja material up-to Prasad.
On 29th April, 1995 a Group called Shri MAA VAISHNO SEWA MANDAL was formed with the support of Shri Thakur Dass Ji and blessing of Respected Shri Deva Maa Ji. Originally Chowki were conducted on Tuesday and Jagran on Saturday. But as the demand increased and the waiting period of new booking exceeded over one year, it was decided in 2002 to hold Chowki on all week days also. Till now, Raj Sehgal with his Mandal organize more then 5,100 Chowkis / Jagrans.
As on Date Shri Maa Vaishno Seva Mandal have more then 100 Members. Every body is well settled in their business, private jobs & government services. Few of them are holding very good position & some are even class 1 officers.
From Sunday to Friday Chowki timings are from 06.00 PM to 09.00 PM and on every Saturday it is in form of Jagran from 10.00PM to 04.00AM. Or Chando Wali Chowki from 09.00PM to Midnight depending on the situation. All the members & all devotees , every body has to follow certain rules & regulations of the Mandal few of them are listed below:
It is compulsory to all the members to wear the dress (White Kurta Paizama & Patka.).
Members can bring their families & friends but they also have to follow the basic rules of the Mandal.
No member or their family members are allowed to have food at devotee’s house. They only can have Prashad.
No body is allowed to have any snacks/ food or water in the Pandal during the Chowki & Jagran.
Mandal will sing only the Bhajans in proper procedure there will be no Jhaki / Cultural activity .
While booking the Chowki / Jagran , Mandal will provide a proper list of the material required for the Pooja.
It will take 1 hour to prepare the Jyot. It will be in proper procedure with the pooja of the family members.
After preparing the Jyot it will be placed in the Darbar with full grace & respect.
Then Jyoti Prachand ceremony is followed with Jyoti Pranchand Mantra ”‘Sundar Deepak Ghee Bhara, Aaj Karu Tayar…..” then Maa Ka Ahavahann, Ganpati Vandana, Guru Vandana “Deva Maa Do Vardan Hame Teri Nit Nit Jyot …..” Vaishno Devi Chalisa, followed by Sundar Bhajans & finally Arti & Parshad Vitran.
The members will sing the bhajans as per the proper procedure of the Vaishno Panth.
During the Chowki / Jagran members will keep on highlighting few of the points of Vaishno Panth or some good inspiring events.
During the Chowki / Jagran, it is compulsory for every body to cover his / her head with some cloth, Dupatta, Shawl or Patka.
